# Is Discord going to have a paid subscription?

Knowing that Discord is currently free at its current state, do you think Discord will ever get to a paid subscription model? I was thinking they would keep the gaming side free, and the business side servers paid?

I do not think Discord would ever make their servers paid rather it be business or gaming. As of now, discord gives perks to those who do pay for their subscription but it is not server-based and only provides servers with "boosts" extra emotes, animated logo ect...
