# Switching between windows Revit 2019 and up

Before Revit 2019 I could Alt+Tab back to the prior view I was in. This is good for cutting a section adjusting then going back to the plan view I was just in. Now with 2019 and 2020 with the tabs if I alt+tab it just goes to the next view open, not the one I was just in. Is there an option to switch back how alt+tab works like prior 2019 iterations?

There's one thing you might have gotten wrong: you don't use Alt+Tab to switch between current and last views; Alt+Tab is a MS Windows command to switch between programs. Within a program with different views you use Ctrl+Tab.

In this further case, you use Ctrl+Tab to switch forward in the list of opened views in Revit 2020 (and 2021, I suppose); and you use Shift+Ctrl+Tab to switch backwards in such list.

Thus, to move to the last view, use Shift+Ctrl+Tab.

Have a nice day, hope you are enjoying Revit.
