We do not use different currencies at our firm. However, I would convert each currency received to the default currency used by your firm, and include a note in the payment details of the actual currency amount received, with the calculation of its conversion to default currency, to provide a detailed explanation if question by client. For example, if we were paid 100 British pounds as an escrow deposit, I would note "Payment received by client (100 British pounds x $1.259288 = $125.92 USD)." $125.92 USD would be posted to the client's escrow account.
