# Given an asset, how do I run a vulnerability scan report on demand ad hoc?

I want a scan done now, not a report of a scan done 6 hours ago, because remediation has been done that I want to check immediately.

I can run on demand ad-hoc vulnerability scans in Tenable Nessus, and I like that capability.

You can do that easily by launching an on-demand scan in Qualys too. Thats a very basic feature. You could also drop an Qualys agent on the host OS (The agent service is hardly 800kb in size) and forget about launching scans.

I meant "on demand agent scan". I apologize for not being more specific.
