# How do you keep track of parts that have been ordered?

We were offered the solution of using the Purchase Order Module for traceability of parts that have been ordered, but I'm not finding it any better. Without keeping a separate spreadsheet to do this, I'm not sure what else we can do

Hi Melissa,

There is a suggestion in place for the development team to add more details to the parts grid to reflect some of the data from the recent Purchase Order module. We released this feature as a beta version for some of our customers in order to get feedback and suggestions, but we are going to continue to work on it to make it better.
Please keep in mind that our API is available for those willing to develop some integration with their accounting software. Some work is required from your IT/development team, but I just would like to make sure you know it's available.
As you mentioned, the app development for both Android and iOS devices is one of our priorities, but we can continue to work on other enhancements and features as well. Stay tuned for updates and don't hesitate to reach out to us if you have other questions or suggestions.

Warm regards,

We had a phone conversation with a representative from Hippo telling us that they are looking at adding a column to the parts grid for quantity on order and last order date (I think that was the title). Not sure how soon it would be released in an update because they were focusing on getting the mobile app completed first.

I am also interested in this answer. I load all my parts with the inventory but as my mechanics use them I have to enter manually the number used. Wish as my mechanics used the parts it would automatically update the inventory and alert me when inventory is low.
