# What challenges do others in the Higher Education field come across most while using VidGrid? What have you found has been the most helpful? I am using it to share a video I'm making that is similar to the Department of Education on what is the FAFSA, things students will encounter while completing the FAFSA and what exactly the Financial Aid Department is and how we can be helpful to them. Thank you, Keith. I appreciate the feedback. These are excellent points as well and something I've already run into. Thankfully our school has some Blue Yeti Microphones. There's a means of adding attachments to the video in VidGrid, so you could have a handout PDF right there about Financial Aid if you wished. And to Susan's point about look & sound, invest a small amount to get good sound (perhaps an inexpensive lapel mic as opposed to the integral mic on your camera or phone). Good sound makes a good video great. If you can't do that, then get nice & close to your subject so the sound is less room-ish. The VidGrid tools and ability to share will take it from there; even adding a thumbnail image that's more of an intentional "cover" before users hit the Play button can make it great. ##### Comment Metadata - Posted at: over 6 years ago - Author title: Learning Management System (LMS) Administrator at Prime Therapeutics ### Comment 8 I suspect that some of my colleagues may have some initial fears or concerns about how they will look and sound on camera. Or perhaps they don't have a well lit, clean space to record and have concerns about that. As trivial as that may seem, I think it puts people off from using the tool. But the thing is, VidGrid is so darn easy to use, one can easily practice in front of the camera. I think education about how easy it is to use and then seeing it being used for communication by others may open some of those doors. I often answer a video to a colleague or a student with a short VidGrid video because it's more personal and allows me to show information on screen, if necessary.
