# What is the best way to set up holidays to automatically not allow bookings?

I have to remember to set up a completely separate extra "holiday" in my google calendar in order to have the day appear booked. Is there a way to make that happen automatically without having to remember?

HI Ashley, Bridget here - thanks for this great question!

By far the easiest Ashely is to block the time in your calendar - create an all day event for your trip and just make sure it's marked 'show me as busy' and YCBM wont touch those times: https://forum.youcanbook.me/t/how-do-i-block-off-time-from-being-available/30
