# What is the best way to leverage automatic lead scoring?

I haven't yet figured out if/how to get the most out of any sort of auto-lead scoring that can be built into the software. I'd love to be able to generate a formula of interesting indicators within HubSpot and then use that to spot warm leads, and I believe there's some component of this in HubSpot, but I haven't figured out yet how much of it is manual, versus automatic. I'd love to hear how people approach lead scoring within HubSpot.

So we have a set up where we score leads based on types of form fills from our website. Such as a demo request form will receive a higher lead score than someone taking a look at our platform video tour. This obviously requires having your site enabled to capture the visitors info before viewing such videos and then sending that info back into hubspot. There is also metrics built in to track history of activity on any individual contact and depending on the type of persona they may carry a higher lead score due to the fact that their persona fits our ideal prospect profile. So through SDR auditing we would select TA Manager or Recruiter. The TA Manager that sends the same form fill as the recruiter will receive a higher lead score. Hope this helps.
