# would it remain Java is the official language for developing android applications in future?

there were rumours before, that android is going to create their own language for android development. Kotlin, C, C++ is also available for Android development. but most android developers prefer to use Java.

Yes, most developers prefer java over kotlin as it is the conventional language for android and quite familiar as well. As per the question, yes kotlin is now officially introduced by Google for android development; I am afraid it will override the java pretty soon.
