# How to put text in image

iMovie is a great tool for video making 
It has the right features and it is really easy to use

As the others mentioned, you can do it with titles.  Or upgrade to Final cut Pro.  :)

Putting in text is easiest with Titles, but you are limited to the styles iMovie gives you and the fonts they provide.  If the Titles option works for you, it is simple. However, as mentioned you can use Canva or Photoshop (my preference) to put text on a still image, save it as a .jpg, and then insert it into your iMovie project.  Hope that helps!

Thanks 
Since the tiles do not have fonts we can change in size etc I have also starred using canva

You can go to Titles at the top bar of iMovie and select one of those to put text over an image. Otherwise, you can create text in an image in Canva or Photoshop and place the image in iMovie with the text already on the photo. Hope this helps!
