# How do I locate good affiliates?

In my six months with Shareasale, all I ever got from them is an endless list of coupon sites wanting to be affiliates. I never had a single decent blogger or sales person contact me. I provided 10% commissions and have a unique product, but zero interest from their community. For a fee, Shareasale said they would promote my product to their best bloggers, but after already paying a hefty setup fee, I'm surprised I'd have to pay extra to get promoted to their best affiliates.

Although you can pay to find new affiliates through the ShareASale marketplace, affiliates receive a lot of requests to join programs and through the SAS marketplace, your message/invite may get lost in their inbox. In my opinion, the best way to find new affiliates is to reach out to the affiliate personally. Form those relationships directly and then add/invite them to your program once a connection has been made.
