# What is the best of linking email to insightly?

It takes ages to link emails

This is the biggest bugbear I have with Insightly.

It works well at all kinds of levels, but I like to make sure that my emails are all linked to a specific job - I work from the office and from home so I need to have all the "bits & pieces" related to a project in one place.

So - I might have the emails for the client.My emails to them and the suppliers, and the emails from the suppliers.

Whatever, I send to the client or the supplier I can do within Insightly - it goes out through my linked email that's OK - and I copy in the project's email in the bcc field (you have to go look for that often - I  regularly have to open another insightly window to find and copy the project email address) - biut all emails that come in to you about the project on your email have to be manually forwarded to the same project email address.... again, often having to open insightly just to grab it.

It's time consuming, and like anything that takes more effort than a click or two, it often doesn't get done because there are more important things to do in that moment and then the info isn't there when you need it.

I'd love to be able to offer a more simple workaround - but as yet, I haven't found one. What you cannot do is have all your emails come directly into  insightly - I understand why - honestly - but it does make the process super clunky in that particular area.

We connect our exchange account but gmail work too - pretty simple. Alternative is to bcc Insightly on outgoing mail and capture them that way.
