# Is it possible to use visual studio code for newer language?

Does visual studio code provide support to newer languages such Vue.js? Does the auto complete work for such languages? Is the tool up to date.

Yes, Code it's more a Text Editor than an IDE, so there is no limit in what code you can handle. You can edit your project files and then use Node, Core, Python CLIs to compile the project. Of course, extension makes those and more steps easier. And yes, you have a lot of extensions for JS Frameworks for syntax highlights, snippets, scaffolding, tooling, linting, etc
