# Tracking Data for Analytics - What Should I be Most Focused On?

We've just really started diving into Hubspot marketing professional and I want to make sure we are tracking all the data we should be. I know the more the better but I want to make sure I'm tracking the data that really matters. Clicks, page view, lead conversions, date acquired, site visits, etc.... there is just so many things you can track I want to make sure we are on the right track and nothing important is slipping through the cracks.

Hi Dylan,

Great question. For reporting, I'd make sure you have a core set of questions that you're looking for answers to on a recurring basis. This could be anything from "What channels are driving the most traffic to my site?" to "How are we currently generating leads through our marketing efforts?" A great place to start is the traffic analytics report. If you have any custom questions, you might consider building a custom report. Once you create all the reports you're interested in, you might want to add them to a dashboard so they're easily findable, and shareable.

I'd also recommend this academy course, which will walk you through Reporting in the HubSpot Marketing Hub.
