# I need to change the templates...

I have the max of 3 templates currently loaded and have the basic plan.  If I need to change the templates being sent, and still have documents waiting to be signed, can I change the templates now?  Or will that affect the documents still waiting to be signed?

Hi Stephanie, 

In my experience with EverSign it's not ideal to change a template once it's been sent for signing. 

If you delete a template it will no longer be available for the signer to sign. 
I haven't tried to amend an already existing template once I've sent it for signing, but I wouldn't recommend it. 

I would advise you to amend the template where you need to and then re-send it to the signer(s) and let them know of the changes.
