# What determines a user to be an influencer?

I have seen some of my very close friends have the tag on the Common.it dashboard for twitter and was wondering.

I was always told that in order to be an influencer one had to have a min. 10,000 followers so that's kind of what I've been believing but I am not sure its the only criteria for that.

Hi Aria!
Users with more than 2K followers are considered influencers. 
I think it is because if you have that number, you could give them good advice or share valuable content
