# What's the best way to extract data if Object Cloning isn't working?

Sometimes obj cloning has a hard time screen capturing User Interface messages or buttons.

That depends on which application or functionality on screen you are plannig to capture. You can try metabot, that is the best tool if the object clonning does not able to capture the objects. Other alrternatves for key strokes, Manage windows control or IR.

If object cloning us not working for you please try OCR or IR.
