# Error when opening Excel spreadsheet

We have a shared excel file that 10 or so users access however only one person at a time is ever in the workbook. One of our users is now getting an error that will not allow her to use. I can provide exact error message when I return to work.

Using OneDrive, you can actually have multiple people in the file at the same time, which is pretty cool. BUT, if it's anything more than a Really basic sheet, don't allow anyone to use the online version. There are a few things it doesn't support. Microsoft was Kind of stupid, because they didn't block the online version from opening those files.
If memory serves me correctly, it won't allow for named cells in a different sheet? I'm not an excel expert, but that's Pretty much where I put all my named cells. There are a slew of features that don't work online. So if someone opens it there, it may corrupt the file. It will save files automatically when they are opened, if the file is located on one drive.
You should be able to go back to before it was corrupted though.

Hi Laura, Could you provide a couple of images to visualize the description of the error?
