# In using the peer2peer installation method, what is the best way to install?

The problem is that I install from a certain location, e.g. desktop, and then if I want to uninstall, perhaps to upgrade, it won't let me uninstall because the original user or file location no longer exists. I have been trying to document where I installed it from; is there an easier way?

Elaine - The best way to uninstall is to copy the Teacher.msi or Student.msi folder to the Desktop and run it from there. If it asks you where the installer is located, point to the one you copied to the Desktop.  If you need assistance, please reach out to us at customersuccess@lenovosoftware.com.
