# How do i create a more effective landing page

Landing pages are so important for SEO rankings, more insight into how to improve landing pages and analytics would be helpful

Depending on your starting point, there are quite a few ways to make your landing page more effective. Following best practices like the ones below can make for a great starting point, but you should also gather data and A/B testing your hypothesis.

-Remember the Page&#39;s Purpose: by and large, your landing page should have a single purpose (ie form submission) and you should consider removing everything that distracts from that. If there are other things you&#39; like visitors to see/do, consider putting them on the thank-you page instead. 

-Set Expectations: Don&#39;t be vague about your offer. Instead, make sure your user knows exactly what they&#39;re going to get if they convert. Images of the resource can help, as can identifying the type of resource (for content offers) and communicating what&#39;ll happen after the form submission.  

-Copy: Does your header and supporting copy speak to your customers&#39; pain points and how the offer will help solve them?
