# How do i use large data files of 6gb or more in meshmixer?

I could not open large data files of 3D Scanning. If it opens it could not process further refinements.

Hi,

Meshmixer has interoperation capabilities with some of the other Autodesk software such as Fusion360 which is free for students and start-ups. Please try the file open in Fusion360 and then reduce the polygon amount over there. After reducing the triangles you could easily send the file to the Meshmixer.
