# How do you think WordPress software will change in the coming years?

Although I've always loved WordPress, I feel as though it's not really keeping up with the times. How do you think that it will change in the coming years to keep up its competitive capacities with things easier drag and drop softwares such as Shopify, Wix, and others?

Wordpress and the community continue to advance the technology backing the platform as well as the plugins that empower it. Wordpress 4.0 was just released which will open up new advancements. Also the drag and drop aspect can be achieved now with certain plugins available for Wordpress.

Sade, the sites you mentioned are more for the DIY user or for a designer whose client will maintain and update the site on their own. WordPress, in my opinion, will continue to evolve and with discerning innovation and creativeness of its open source developers.
