# How do you handle template syncing the right way?

One of our current issues is to sync projects based from a template, because templates evolve with time.
We tried to copy/paste tasks from the template to the project, but it didn't really work out, as only the tasks were copied, but not their own description nor subtasks.

Hi!

So I’m just making sure I understand what you’re wanting to do...

Are you using Asana and their templates to create your Project Outline and then be able to work on that Template with others AND over a period of time to edit as the changes happen?

OR Are you trying to create your template on Asana and then work on it on another platform (or vice versa)?
