# How to add music to google slides

I'm trying to liven up my presentation with "Some Nights" by F.U.N. on the intro slide. Is this something I can add to the preso or do I need to just play it on my phone or something?

You can go to Insert > audio but that will give you the music only on that slide and not continuously so what I suggest is:

1. Click Insert > Shape > choose any shape like an arrow > draw a subtle shape
2. Click on the shape > Insert > Link and paste your soundtrack (it has to be on a link such as YouTube)
3. Click Apply
4. When you run your presentation, click on the shape with the link in the beginning. The music will open in another browser window, so go back to your presentation and the music will run until it is finished or until you close it.
