Before you start installing Sqlserver you have to figure out what version you want to install and then what features you need in your installation. The installation time depends on your knowledge of the Microsoft Sqlserver family.

Studying the Microsoft Sqlserver family will cost you a week if you have some understanding of database features, structures, and concepts. If not then take more time for studying before doing it. You do not want to do reinstalls after 1 month.

MS SQL server installation may take around 30-45 mins and SQL server  installation is more interactive and not so difficult where as configuration of SQL depends based on the features we would like to have like SQL Always On, SQL failover cluster config..etc.

Depending on your machine. Usually it takes 25 mins or less on a machine with Solid state drive. Assuming that you have all the required installation files and no download needed.
