# Logging out of Microsoft Outlook

I need to log in to a different account on outlook but I can't figure out how to log out of the current account I'm on.

Please click on File --&gt; Accounts Information --&gt; Account Settings --&gt; Select the desired account --&gt; Remove.

Later you can add same or another account following the same process.

If your existing account is IMAP, all email/ contacts will be removed, if you want to keep them, make a backup. If your existing account is POP, email/ contacts will remain in he associated data file. If you wish to remove them, create a new data file, set it as default, restart Outlook and right click data file and remove. The file will be removed from Outlook but will remain on the computer. If you want to remove, find Outlook files folder in my documents (if you didn&#39;t change it) and delete. Hope it helps.
