# How to update Adobe Indesign?

I have an old version of Adobe but it's not prompting me to update. Where can I go to find that?

Hello! If you have the Creative Cloud app, you can manually check for updates by following these steps: 1) Open the Creative Cloud desktop app. 2) In the left pane of the Apps tab, click Updates. 3) Click the More Actions button. 4) choose Check For Updates. This should allow you to update InDesign.

However, if you have an older, physical version of InDesign, you have to upgrade to a newer version first via the Adobe Creative Cloud. Adobe does not provide updates to versions of InDesign that are not in the Creative Cloud.
