# How do I remove powered by squarespace?

I want the bottom of my site to stop saying "Powered by Squarespace". Does anyone know how to do this?

Totally get why you would want to take that off. There’s a few ways to do so, depending on which template you use, all described here - https://support.squarespace.com/hc/en-us/articles/205815988-Removing-Powered-by-Squarespace-from-your-site. Basically, you should be able to either click in the footer and edit it like any other text, or go to your Pages tab and remove the link. Hope that helps!

If it’s in a Text Box in the footer, you can click Edit, hover over the Text Box and delete it by dragging it into the trash can or simply deleting the text.

In some templates, they put it in Secondary Navigation. For that, go to Pages and delete the link that says “Powered by Squarespace” under Secondary Navigation.

Here’s a link to Squarespace’s instructions with a walkthrough: https://support.squarespace.com/hc/en-us/articles/205815988-Removing-Powered-by-Squarespace-from-your-site
