My boss is asking me which version we have and I don't know how to tell. Does anyone know where I can find this information?

You can also check the version from the mysql command line

# mysql –version or # mysql -V

### Comment 2

You can use MySQL Workbench to check the version number. After connected to a server using MySQL Workbench, click on server from main menu. Then "Server Status" to view the server status. It helps to identify the version.
