I really like the return to service workflow with Jamf, especially for our flex staff nurses. I believe Jamf understands customers' needs and will pivot and make changes specific to workflows efficiently. Unlike other MDM manufacturers like Microsoft and Workspace ONE, Jamf doesn't take a very long time to implement changes. The integration with our shared iPhone management, Microsoft Teams, and the use of the return to service app along with Jamf Setup have addressed the problem of shared devices effectively. The process of nurses taking devices off the charger, logging into Jamf setup, setting a passcode, and then resetting the phone by tapping the return to service app at the end of their shifts ensures the device is ready for the next user. Without this workflow, I don't think we could provide the same number of applications to the nurses. I recently started using Jamf Mobile Assist to incorporate a QR code in our shared device workflow, which helps if a nurse forgets to sign out, as it can send the return to service by scanning the device's unique QR code. I think reporting capabilities could be improved. It would be great to have a radio button next to a configuration profile in the devices list view to be able to remove it on demand, and the same with an app, rather than using an exception or an exclusion in a smart group.
