Elastic Load Balancing verteilt automatisch Ihren eingehenden Datenverkehr auf mehrere Ziele, wie z.B. EC2-Instanzen, Container und IP-Adressen, in einer oder mehreren Verfügbarkeitszonen. Es überwacht die Gesundheit seiner registrierten Ziele und leitet den Datenverkehr nur an die gesunden Ziele weiter.
