Vault is very easy to use. After reading a few install documents I was able to set up Vault on a local server and train my colleagues on it's use. It greatly helped in coordinating our engineering functions on several projects and kept pesky file management...

the set up procedure is a bit robust. requires some MS prerequisite that seemed bit outdated.

There is not a lot of ease of use with outside programs, Solidworks, Pro-E, Catia, etc. If the design teams in different locations use different programs, the vault really cannot handle the outside files very well, in more of a capacity than just storage....
