At the end of 2019, G2 released its 2020 digital trends series highlighting anticipated software trends for the year to come. As part of that series, we took a shot at predicting software development trends. Notably, we predicted that rapid application development (RAD) would find its footing in the market after years of floating in a void between developers and non-developers.

Question on: TinyMCE
[What's the difference between Tiny Cloud and the self-hosted options?](/discussions/deployment-options-22f677a8-6184-419f-9e9c-22751dde8168)

Deployment options

As more and more businesses move to "the cloud" we think it's important to provide flexible deployment options. We have customers using cloud only, self-hosted (on premise) and a combination of both (hybrid). The easiest way to get started with TinyMCE is to use our free cloud service. Once you get an API key (via a simple signup process) you can get the basic editor setup in minutes, and you don't need to update the editor or plugins. You also get an image proxy for free and we include a 30 day trial of our premium plugins, again for free. To get started with Tiny Cloud go to our homepage https://www.tiny.cloud/ and click the green "Get started" button. If you prefer to host the editor yourself, simply download the SDK here: https://www.tiny.cloud/get-tiny/self-hosted/ We also have integrations for Angular, React and Vue, which are deployed via NPM. https://www.tiny.cloud/get-tiny/ If you have questions about deployment options, go to our homepage and use the chat function. We look forward to helping you get started with TinyMCE.

Question on: TinyMCE
[How do I get support for TinyMCE?](/discussions/support-8e873860-d917-4315-97c6-171865d5817e)

Support

We have several support options available, some free and some paid. Free options include the TinyMCE Community portal [1] where anyone can ask, answer and contribute to the open source project. We are also active on Stack Overflow [2], and we run a weekly office hours and you can learn more on our events page [3]. We have several paid options depending on your needs. Our Developer Plan includes support for the core TinyMCE editor, and can be purchased online via our pricing page [4]. All of our premium plugins include pro support for the plugin (but not the editor). Our Pro Bundle includes support for the editor and plugins. If you need legal assurance, IP protection and redlined agreements the best path is to contact our team, again via the pricing page. Question on: TinyMCE
[Free or Paid?](/discussions/free-or-paid)

Is TinyMCE free to use?

Yes, TinyMCE is an open source rich text editor (WYSIWYG) licensed under LGPL 2.1. This means that you can use the editor without needing to buy a commercial license. The company supporting the TinyMCE project (Tiny Technologies) has a number of paid options available, from premium plugins, to professional support, to commercial licenses for businesses where LGPL is not the right choice. It's these paid services that help support the ongoing development of TinyMCE. You can get TinyMCE here https://www.tiny.cloud/get-tiny/ and check out pricing https://www.tiny.cloud/pricing/
