Question on: Canva
[How do you use Canva’s templates and AI tools to speed up marketing design work?](/discussions/how-do-you-use-canva-s-templates-and-ai-tools-to-speed-up-marketing-design-work)

Canva has been a go to tool for creating posters and editing video content, mainly because the asset and template library plus intuitive editing tools make it fast to produce professional looking marketing materials. It also helps avoid spending too much time and money learning complex design software or waiting on a designer. For those using Canva regularly, what templates, workflows, or AI features have helped you save the most time, and what do you do to keep quality high?

I usually start with a template to get the design moving, then use Canva’s AI tools for quick copy ideas or simple edits like removing backgrounds. It saves time on the repetitive stuff and lets me focus more on the final look.

Question on: Canva
[Many digital creators use Canva Pro to make products for platforms like Etsy. Is this the most cost effective tool for generating revenue as a beginner or small creator?](/discussions/many-digital-creators-use-canva-pro-to-make-products-for-platforms-like-etsy-is-this-the-most-cost-effective-tool-for-generating-revenue-as-a-beginner-or-small-creator)

I’ve noticed many digital creators using Canva Pro to create templates, printables, and other digital products for platforms like Etsy. I’m curious to know if Canva Pro is really the most cost-effective tool for beginners or small creators who want to generate revenue, or if free tools and basic design knowledge can achieve similar results.

The main rule is that any template you export for sale should link the user back to Canva. So you are essentially selling a link to Canva with the template that was created, and all templates are to be made from scratch. You can use a Canva template as a guide, but it needs to be altered so it is identified as your own, not the original creator's. Linking templates back also ensures that any fonts or elements that were used will give those creators credit and royalties for usage. I hope that makes sense.

Individuals can only sell products using a PRO account if they are a PAID user, otherwise, only using the free elements is how to sell Canva-made products. Users must read the terms and conditions on Canva about selling and profiting from items made on Canva

If someone is new to marketing, small-business marketing, design, or campaigning, Canva Pro is a must. Especially for those who aren't familiar with all that professionally! When design, branding, marketing tools, and image are all cohesive, it immediately improves the business. Pro also allows you the chance to have a team, which really helps standardize and familiarize the brand. Canva offers all that to its users but when you pay for Pro, you are saving yourself so much legal, design, software, and $$$ headaches.

[Which video content creation platform offers the best editing features?](/discussions/which-video-content-creation-platform-offers-the-best-editing-features)

Hi everyone, I’ve been testing a few video tools recently and noticed editing features vary a lot between them. For those of you who edit regularly, which [video content creation platform](https://www.g2.com/categories/video-content-creation) offers the best editing features?

Here are a few I’ve been comparing based on G2 ratings:

- [Camtasia](https://www.g2.com/products/camtasia/reviews) (4.6/5): Dependable for tutorials and screen recordings with multi-track editing, transitions, and annotations. Strong for structured content, but does it give enough creative flexibility for marketing teams?
- [Descript](https://www.g2.com/products/descript/reviews) (4.6/5): Lets you edit video by editing the transcript, which makes repurposing fast and efficient. But can it fully replace traditional timeline editing for more advanced projects?
- [VEED](https://www.g2.com/products/veed/reviews) (4.6/5): Cloud-based, with auto-captions, filters, and presets geared toward social media. Great for short-form clips, but how does it hold up for longer edits?
- [Canva](https://www.g2.com/products/canva/reviews) (4.7/5): Easy to use with templates and strong branding tools. Simple for teams, though maybe limited when you need precise, frame-by-frame editing.
- [PlayPlay](https://www.g2.com/products/playplay/reviews) (4.7/5): Designed for enterprises with branded templates and collaboration features. Reliable for volume, but does it offer enough editing depth beyond automation?

For those who’ve worked with these (or similar tools):

- Which one has the most complete editing toolkit?
- Do you see transcript-based editors like Descript as a replacement or just a companion?
- And when it comes to bigger projects, do cloud tools like VEED keep pace with desktop-first editors like Camtasia?

Thanks for sharing your experiences. It’ll be really helpful to see how different teams approach editing.

Here’s a detailed breakdown on [best video editing software](https://learn.g2.com/best-video-editing-software) from G2 that highlights top-rated platforms and their editing strengths. Curious to see if your picks line up with the list.
