[What is the top-rated video communication platform for enterprises?](/discussions/what-is-the-top-rated-video-communication-platform-for-enterprises)

Hi G2 community. I want to start a discussion focused on [video communication platforms](https://www.g2.com/categories/video-communications) that enterprises are actually using and finding value in. While some tools are designed with SMBs in mind, others offer advanced features and integrations that make sense for larger, distributed teams with more complex needs.

These are some of the top-rated options on G2’s Enterprise Video Communications category I'm currently exploring:

1. [**Synthesia**](https://www.g2.com/products/synthesia/reviews): An AI-powered platform that transforms text into professional-looking videos with avatars. It’s often used for training, onboarding, and internal communications at scale.
2. [**Snagit**](https://www.g2.com/products/snagit/reviews): A screen capture and recording tool that helps teams quickly create visual documentation, tutorials, and explainer videos.
3. [**Camtasia**](https://www.g2.com/products/camtasia/reviews): A robust screen recording and editing solution for producing polished training modules, walkthroughs, and internal content.
4. [**Loom**](https://www.g2.com/products/atlassian-loom/reviews): A video messaging tool designed for quick, asynchronous updates and feedback across distributed teams.
5. [**Vidyard**](https://www.g2.com/products/vidyard/reviews): A platform built for creating, hosting, and sharing video, often used for both internal communication and customer-facing content.

What do you think? Based on your experience, which of these platforms delivers the best balance of scalability, ease of use, and enterprise-grade features? I’d love to hear from enterprise teams that have adopted one of these and whether it truly fits their workflows.

Has anyone found a video communication platform that balances enterprise-grade security with the ease of a lightweight tool? Some options feel powerful but heavy to roll out, while others are quick but less customizable.

[What is the best video platform for remote business collaboration?](/discussions/what-is-the-best-video-platform-for-remote-business-collaboration)

Looking at data on the G2 [Video Communications](https://www.g2.com/categories/video-communications) category page, Synthesia, Loom, VEED, Snagit, and Riverside stand out as the top-rated choices for users prioritizing asynchronous video collaboration. See below for my top software list:

1. [Synthesia](https://www.g2.com/products/synthesia/reviews) – an AI-powered video creation platform that lets users turn text into professional-looking videos with avatars and voiceovers. It’s often used for onboarding, training, and presentations where scalability and automation matter.
2. [Loom](https://www.g2.com/products/atlassian-loom/reviews) – a fast and simple screen and camera recording tool that makes it easy to share updates, walkthroughs, and feedback asynchronously. It’s especially popular for remote teams that want quick, personal communication without scheduling live meetings.
3. [VEED](https://www.g2.com/products/veed/reviews) – a browser-based video editing platform with AI-powered tools like auto-subtitles, text-to-speech, and background editing. It’s useful for creating polished communication pieces, tutorials, or marketing assets.
4. [Snagit](https://www.g2.com/products/snagit/reviews) – a lightweight screen capture and recording tool designed for clarity and ease of use. It helps teams create quick explainers, step-by-step guides, and documentation with annotated visuals.
5. [Riverside](https://www.g2.com/products/riverside/reviews) – a professional-grade recording studio for podcasts and video content. It’s known for high-quality audio/video capture and reliability, making it ideal for teams producing polished thought-leadership or client-facing videos.

So, for remote business collaboration, if the goal is async team updates and clarity, Loom and Snagit are excellent. For scalable training or high-production needs, Synthesia, VEED, and Riverside are stronger fits.

Would anyone consider a free video communication software not mentioned in the above list? https://www.g2.com/categories/video-communications/free
