They have an always free version with limited memory space and limited features but it is good for record keeping.
You can add candidates manually, but can't parse/import resumes automatically from an email etc.

It all depends on what you need! There are many ATS platforms out there, and each one has its own niche in the market. Some are better for light industrial; some are better for medical/scheduling, etc. Some are great working with multiple integration platforms to solve for any functionality they may be missing, others force you to use the provider they get the best revenue share with.
I'd suggest coming up with a list of needs and wants you're looking for in your next platform and determine any must haves and start there. Ask direct and specific questions from your potential partner! For example... Most platforms have an online application, but is it compatible with Android and Apple phones? How many clicks does it take to complete a quick app? What integration for onboarding documents are being used? What is that platforms uptime? How much does my staff need to interact with the onboarding process? Once the application is submitted, does your staff need to log back in, review, approve, then initiate another step? If so, your staff may be wasting more time, and that shiny new software isn't as awesome as it sounded in the demo.
I'd also look at their integration and automation capability to reduce the amount of time your staff needs to interact with your new platform. Integrations with insurance carriers, WOTC partners, Sense and other employee engagement platforms save staff time by not having to complete extra steps that don't actually add revenue. Automation within your new platform saves your staff time and can increase revenue if designed and used correctly.
If you're completely unfamiliar with staffing software and the myriad of integrations available, leverage a consultant that's familiar with the industry to help guide you.
