10 Software Categories in High Demand to Support Remote Work
Throughout my time at G2, traffic patterns on G2.com category pages have been one of the most significant data points to monitor. Time and again, the changes in those patterns have proven a good indicator of emerging trends and a strong reflection of change in software markets. The current global crisis caused by COVID-19 is, unsurprisingly, creating a large shift to tools that support remote work.

Question on: Zoom Workplace
what beenfits do you have over skype/?
I think that the number of people allowed to include it’s 100 in zoom for free and in my experience zoom has less delay than Skype.

I have found that it is easy to use (I am 67 years old and have been narrow-casting my traditional f2f class using Zoom since mid-March). Secondly, I can set my narrow-cast to be "recurring" which is easy for my students to access. Thirdly, the real-time narrow-cast is recorded automatically so I can upload this to my platform for students to review asynchronously.
Ironically, I took my position through a Skype interview, but I find Zoom far easier to use for content delivery.

Question on: Google Workspace
What's the best way to deal with bandwidth issues for multi-user Meets?
Sometimes Meets will be difficult because of bandwidth/connectivity issues. What ways do you recommend we address this in the midst of the meeting to prevent participant dropping and information loss?
Always be ready to identify and deal with your network performance before its impact. Quality of service and packet shaping, traffic might be guaranteed at least 50 percent of the available bandwidth, you can always have bandwidth limitation. Compression and caching of file or its transfer can benefit from relatively slow but thorough compression, while packets for a transaction prone application should be handled as fast as possible. Out-of-band management uses separate, secure communications paths into the production infrastructure to minimize downtime.
