Hi there, Thermo Scientific Watson LIMS software is designed specifically to manage bioanalytical studies, from initiation through study close out, and was designed with a deep understanding of the bioanalytical workflow and regulations. Study coordinators, scientists and technicians are able to move logically through each step in the workflow, simplifying bioanalytical support for nonclinical and clinical studies. What is ELN software?
What is ELN software?

An Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN) is a software that helps you document your lab work. This is typically done using paper notebooks in the lab, hence how the ELN gets its name. That said, some modern ELNs now have additional functionalities that support lab management - from inventory management, collaboration tools, workflow planning, to data integrity features (e-signatures, audit trails, task locking, and more). These tools make ELNs more like a digital lab notebook and toolbox, and less like its predecessor.
Keep in mind that ELNs are designed for lab use; this differentiates ELNs from other digital notebooks such as Evernote or OneNote. They are more or less for general note-taking, and structured much more like paper notebooks.
Hope this answer helps!
