[What is the best platform for territory and quota planning?](/discussions/what-is-the-best-platform-for-territory-and-quota-planning)

I have been researching [sales planning platform](https://www.g2.com/categories/sales-planning) that actually makes the process of territory and quota planning easier instead of more complicated.

A lot of the options sound good on paper, but it’s hard to tell what teams are genuinely happy with once they’re using them day to day.

A few names I keep running into:

[**Anaplan**](https://www.g2.com/products/anaplan/reviews): seems powerful for complex planning, but maybe heavy to manage

[**Xactly**](https://www.g2.com/products/xactly/reviews): looks strong if comp and quota planning need to tie together closely

[**Varicent**](https://www.g2.com/products/varicent-varicent/reviews): heard it’s good for larger sales orgs, but not sure how flexible it feels

[**Clari**](https://www.g2.com/products/clari/reviews): I know it’s more known for forecasting, but curious if anyone uses it for planning too

[**Pigment**](https://www.g2.com/products/pigment-2024-01-19/reviews): seems modern and easier to work with, wondering how mature it is for sales planning

Biggest thing I’m trying to figure out:

Does a dedicated platform actually make territory/quota planning smoother and more accurate, or does it just replace spreadsheet pain with system admin pain?

Would love to hear what people are actually using, what’s worked well, and what’s not worth the effort.

At some point, it seems less about features and more about which platform sales ops teams don’t hate using every quarter!
