Anaplan is up to date modern and powerfull platform for integrated planning. In my opinion key points - Possible to manage and support by people from business no IT (however center of execllence in case of of using all benefits and opportunities of platform). - More easy for changing in business/process requirements. Not so rigid like older solutions. - Great marketing and learning materials. Great top notch learning center which helps to be involved in modeling with anaplan. - Lots of cool feauters that many other vendors do not have like: ALM (DEV-TST-PROD environment), Workflow (new), restoring to any point of system, auto creation of model map etc. - Despite Anaplan is quite mature and stable platform it is still developing and adding new features and fuctionality. - No need for own IT . All It infrastructure on vendors's clouds (however not only Anaplan )

Anaplan stands out from other planning and performance management tools primarily due to its cloud-native Hyperblock in-memory calculation engine, which enables real-time, dynamic modeling at scale. Unlike traditional spreadsheets or legacy EPM systems, Anaplan allows multiple users to collaborate simultaneously with instant updates across all connected plans. This creates a truly connected planning environment that integrates Finance, Sales, Supply Chain, HR, and other functions in a single platform. Its highly flexible modeling architecture supports complex, multi-dimensional use cases without heavy IT involvement, empowering business users to build and modify models rapidly. Anaplan’s version control, scenario planning, and “what-if” analysis capabilities provide the agility needed for today’s fast-changing business environment. Furthermore, Anaplan’s cloud-first design ensures scalability, security, and seamless integration with other enterprise systems via APIs. The platform also benefits from a vibrant user community, extensive training resources, and strong customer support, all of which accelerate adoption and value realization. In summary, Anaplan’s combination of real-time calculation, collaborative modeling, flexibility, and scalability differentiates it as a next-generation connected planning solution.
