Provide tools to scan sites and provides an online platform for viewing those scanned sites. Plus they provide various downloads to bring into CAD tools to assist with modeling. Matterport can be used to generate a high-quality digital representation of just about any interior space. Answered: Matthew Torti on April 8, 2022 We utilize Matterport as a means to provide our customers the ability to 'inspect' their vehicle virtually, rather than in-person. The program allows them to zoom-in, view the layout with 360 visibility, and take measurements. This has also served our internal teams to supplement our historical reference for complex designs by having the 360 scan in addition to still-photos, drawings, etc. It has been a very valuable tool for us. Answered: Jen Funkhouser on April 8, 2022 Matterport can be used to create a 3D model and virtual tour of a home or property for sale, ensuring 24-hour showing capability. It can also be used to create a 3D model and tour of vacation rentals, or museums, or a retail outlet. Tags can be used within the 3D model to highlight features and give info about the space or items in it. It can also be used multiple times in the course of building a home or commercial property, documenting progress or internal workings of the structure that will no longer be visible once the build is completed. Spaces can also be measured after the scans are processed, and stills can be pulled from the 3D model as well. It is than used to communicate with the adjuster, Out of town owners and our estimators.
