Short version: there's no ceiling. Because Openkoda is open-source-based and you own the code, anything in the platform can be changed - data models, workflows, business logic, UI, user roles, access controls, document templates, and integrations. That's a meaningfully different answer than you'll get from most insurance core systems, where "customizable" usually means "configurable within the limits the vendor decided on." The reason it works this way comes down to architecture. Openkoda runs on a standard open-source stack — Java, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, JavaScript - rather than a proprietary scripting language. If you've used Guidewire (Gosu) or a closed development environment, you know the catch: deep customization is possible, but only by working within the vendor's constraints and often only with certified specialists. Some sections can be hidden with a toggle next to the section or the question. Not all are able to be hidden. There is a comment function that you could use to alert the customer that the info is not needed. If you submit your forms they can map them to what your form indicates. Hope this helps. Yes, you can mark/indicate that a specific question is required and the client will not be able to advance to another page if any required items are left unanswered.
