Has the Cloud Repatriation Already Begun?
Cloud has been the preferred option for all kinds of businesses over the past years. Everyone loves the cloud. Or at least they used to—until the challenges with the cloud started to outweigh the benefits.

The software is developed under JAVA, so you can use linux, windows... it's up to you.
Not only using linux will save money as for business you will need to have extended support that could cost almost the same as windows.

Question on: CloverDX
What is the easy way to debug the data flowing out of all the components and sub graphs?
When a data set flows though more than one path between sub graphs and components is there a better way to debug it. With coding languages that programmers use, it is easy to dump the data out to a file or console to see the path the data set takes. With CloverDX one has to examine each edge of the components in the graph and sub graph to see the data set flow and the changes made to it or taken on it.
Thank you for the comment!
Generally speaking, data flowing through edges in CloverDX Designer gets saved temporarily in the form of .dbg files. These files are located in /.metadata/.plugins/com.cloveretl.gui.runtime/runtime-work/temp/clover_temp_node01//clover-debug/ directories. By default, only the first 1000 records on each edge are saved in this way but it is possible to configure the edges to save all records (right-click the edge > Debug > All records). The .cfg files are binary files that can be read and inspected by the CloverDataReader component later on. If you need a more convenient way of reviewing the data you can use a technique of adding the SimpleCopy component on the desired edge and directing the duplicate output edge to some sort of a writer component, e.g. SpreadsheetDataWriter. Note: Whether the .cfg file gets created or not is driven by the execution property called debug_mode. The debug_mode is set to true by default in the Designer (regardless of whether you are working on a local or a server project). For all other jobs running on the CloverDX Server, the property is set to false by default so no edge data is saved but this can be, of course, changed if needed.
