I want to be able to read some best practice documents for the Arena product as a whole. If the only way we can gain better training of the product is to send a person to physical training then don't plan on having myself come up to bat when they ask us if we want to keep Arena. Good software should come with tons of good self-help tools. Just look at the way Solidworks handles help tools. If the only way we can get help is through spending more money for a select group of people to be trained. Forget It! Hello Kelly - Thanks for your feedback. While Arena does have a lot of help file content and videos (all accessible from the "?" menu in the application), I know it's not always the best way to learn processes or gain an understanding of best practices. We have some specific needs that could increase efficiency at our company, but they do not fall into the out-of-the-box applications. Can we create this as a new application for users? Yes, in my experience you can. Saves time. Yes, from the beginning we would take the out of the box version and modify it to fit our process requirements. After a while we just started building our own modules from scratch when the out of the box functionality would require excessive modifications. When we did this we would just disable the out of the box forms and workflows and then build our own.
