Concerning your suggestion for an option to write-in landforms, the landforms we currently have listed are directly from the NRCS National Soil Survey Handbook. We do our best to provide as many options as possible from appropriate regulating authorities. In this case, it’s the NRCS that has provided a comprehensive glossary to create consistent terminology for describing landscapes, landforms, and geomorphology. Additionally, standardizing/normalizing as much of the data collected in the field as possible improves your company’s ability to collect, sort, and view data across sampling points and projects should the need arise. I ran this comparison for my own shortlist across the [**jobsite management**](https://www.g2.com/categories/jobsite-management) category, and I have to restructure the question to answer it honestly, because its two halves point at completely different evidence, and one half points mostly away from both products. Here's what I found: - [**Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)**](https://www.g2.com/products/autodesk-forma-formerly-autodesk-construction-cloud/reviews) (4.4 stars, 5,385 reviews): On plan markups, the sheet-and-model side is its inheritance, this listing is the former Construction Cloud carrying PlanGrid and BIM 360 technology (vendor-stated), and the most persuasive markup evidence I found sits in a competitor's own review stream: recent Fieldwire feedback calls their own sheet viewer lower quality compared to ACC Forma and describes round-tripping markups through Bluebeam as the workaround. Recent Forma reviews add drawings, models, and updates centralized with field-office collaboration working. The honest costs from the same evidence: a below-average ease score (8.1 against the 8.8 category average), a real curve, extra clicks, and performance that its own recent reviews tie to internet connectivity and file size, which is exactly the condition of a jobsite. And per my note in this batch's worth-it thread, confirm contractually which Forma you're buying, because the name now spans two Autodesk products. - [**Procore**](https://www.g2.com/products/procore/reviews) (4.6 stars, 4,211 reviews): The higher rating on the enormous active base, with recent reviews describing drawing updates, RFIs, and submittals handled with less pain for on-site teams. But on this question's markup half specifically, its most pointed recent criticism is exactly there: recent review feedback calls the drawing interface terrible, unfavorably compares it to Bluebeam of fifteen years ago, and flags that spec books can't be word-searched whole, only by section. Isolated criticism doesn't define a product with four thousand reviews, but with markups as this thread's subject, the freshest specific markup feedback belongs in the verdict. - On field clock-in, the honest finding that reframes the whole question: neither product's G2 evidence, recent reviews, page cons, or listing descriptions, documents field clock-in as a proven daily capability. The category's actual clock-in evidence lives in its time-tracking tier: Workyard states GPS-verified clock-in and out with audit-ready timesheets, and BusyBusy states GPS time tracking with its page summary crediting reliability even without Wi-Fi (vendor-stated and page-level respectively). Teams whose deciding requirement is crews clocking in on their phones are, on this category's evidence, shopping in that tier, possibly alongside one of these platforms rather than instead of one. - So my verdict, split the way the evidence splits: for plan markups, Forma, on the strength of cross-platform viewer praise and its drawing heritage, provided your team can absorb its learning curve and your site's bandwidth can handle its files, with Procore the broader field-to-office machine whose markup interface is the thing to scrutinize hardest in your demo. For field clock-in, neither on current evidence, pair either platform with a purpose-built GPS time tool or make the vendor demonstrate clock-in live, on a phone, on your site, before believing it. Anyone actually running crew clock-in natively inside either platform in 2026? A single first-hand account would correct the biggest evidence gap this comparison has. I haven’t seen convincing evidence that either Forma or Procore is commonly used for native crew clock-in in 2026. Most teams seem to pair them with a dedicated GPS time tool, which also keeps payroll and audit records cleaner.
