Concerning your suggestion for an option to write-in landforms, the landforms we currently have listed are directly from the NRCS National Soil Survey Handbook. We do our best to provide as many options as possible from appropriate regulating authorities. In this case, it’s the NRCS that has provided a comprehensive glossary to create consistent terminology for describing landscapes, landforms, and geomorphology. Additionally, standardizing/normalizing as much of the data collected in the field as possible improves your company’s ability to collect, sort, and view data across sampling points and projects should the need arise.
