Question on: Augmentir
[How is Augmentir or Augmented Operations different from Electronic Work Instructions?](/discussions/how-is-augmentir-or-augmented-operations-different-from-electronic-work-instructions)

How is Augmentir or Augmented Operations different from Electronic Work Instructions?

10-15 years ago, people who were delivering instructions to their frontline workers via paper realized that there were a lot of challenges that come with having paper instructions, such as the paper being easily damaged, not a lot of room for images, inconsistencies among version workers used, etc. People started building work instruction management systems with the primary value add being centralized building and distributing of work instructions for consistency among workers. The electronic work instructions being used today are much richer in terms of the types of content, including augmented reality and mixed reality, and are much more interactive in terms of collecting data and getting feedback on the activities of the frontline workers. Electronic work instructions provide very low granular data collection so they’re great for having frontline workers do standard work, but Augmented Operations is a much better tool for measuring the activities of the workforce and using AI to identify opportunities for continuous improvement across the workforce.

Augmentir is a modern enterprise software product, so you can start out with a free trial. We recommend you choose a project tp deploy that doesn't require weeks of internal approval. Generally you will get up and running with support from our customer success team in less than 3 days.

Question on: Augmentir
[How long did it take your customers on average to implement Augmentir and train their frontline staff to use the tools?](/discussions/how-long-did-it-take-your-customers-on-average-to-implement-augmentir-and-train-their-frontline-staff-to-use-the-tools)

How long did it take your customers on average to implement Augmentir and train their frontline staff to use the tools?

When our customers sign up for Augmentir, they are guiding through an on-boarding process using the product and then our customer success team supports them remotely. On average it has taken our customers 3 days to build a workable procedure to give to their frontline workers. Depending on what your device is, it can take half a day to a couple of days to get frontline workers comfortable with interacting with it. What we’ve found to be most successful is to bring members of the frontline workers into the process of designing the procedures, allowing them to adopt much more quickly because they are part of the engagement process.
