They meet in the center of the crosshairs, not on the tip of the pin. It's kind of a silly oversight, but it still works relatively well if you are trying to measure distance from point-to-point with the ruler. You can change the appearance of the "pin" icon by clicking on the pin icon to the right of the "Name" box when you create a new pin. This will give you the option to use a more fleshed-out crosshair as your pin icon, which would make it easier to hone into a specific spot without the little yellow pin blocking your view.

Geomedia could be use for small scale Telco project or as tool above G/Technology for different kind of custom made analyzes. Geomedia Smart Client could be use for middle scale project in Telco, mainly asset management, it require some customization but have very low cost of further administration.
