Which endpoint management software makes batch automation straightforward to set up without disrupting users? I'm asking because the tools that automate the most can also be the hardest to stand up, and reviews show the gap. A few from the endpoint management category:
- Action1: reviewers call it configurable in about five minutes, with software-repository deployment that saves hours of manual work monthly.
- PDQ Connect: build and deploy custom PowerShell packages fast, with an AI package creator reviewers like.
- Atera: IT Automation Profiles turn restarts, cleanup, and scripts into planned, scheduled work.
- ManageEngine Endpoint Central: automated patching and deployment across the fleet, though the console takes time to learn.
If you automated batch tasks with one of these, how quick was setup, and did the automation run without interrupting users mid-day? Curious what scheduled cleanly versus needing babysitting.
Hi G2, I'm researching which endpoint management platforms give IT managers real centralized visibility and control, and wanted reviews behind the shortlist. The pitch is always "single pane of glass," so I focused on who reviewers say actually delivers it. In the endpoint management category, three come up most: NinjaOne, ManageEngine Endpoint Central, and Atera. The wider list:
- NinjaOne: reviewers praise seeing everything in one portal, with hardware and software inventory a click away for audits.
- ManageEngine Endpoint Central: an all-in-one console for patching, deployment, remote support, and inventory that cuts tool sprawl.
- Atera: RMM, ticketing, patching, and remote access in one view, which reviewers say makes daily support easier.
- Datto RMM: strong visibility across dispersed, multi-client environments from one dashboard.
- Absolute Secure Endpoint: global device tracking with persistence that survives reimaging, useful for remote fleets.
For IT managers, which platform actually gave you one reliable source of truth across every device? And did the console stay usable as your fleet grew?
I’d test the “single pane of glass” claim by unplugging a device from the network for a while. When it comes back, how quickly does the console reflect its real patch, software, and security state? Centralized visibility only works if IT can trust that what NinjaOne or Endpoint Central shows is current.
Hey everyone, I need some answers before we go ahead with implementing Action1 as our patch management solution. Can anyone help me out? 1. We have offices in different time zones. Can we set up patching policies based on different schedules? 2. Does your system notify users before their machines reboot to avoid disruptions during the update process? 3. Do you have any certifications? We're interested in implementing a cloud solution, but we're also concerned about cloud service security. It's crucial for us to work with vendors who comply with security standards. Thanks in advance!
