Just sign up and select the type of design that you want to make like logo or whatever you to make,then can choose from the existing templete or create a new one

Canva be self-taught, or do you have to take a course first?

No special skills required, that's the beauty of it. You can just log in, pick a template and go (and your content can look great). I love Canva for that.

Intereseted in the possibility of using Prezi with other softwares.

Prezi creates the animated framework of your presentation, the flow; I still use Photoshop and Illustrator to create the graphics. However they recently acquired Infogram and now use their charts within the system
