What does "enterprise hybrid cloud" even mean?
Enterprise Hybrid Cloud
Show More
Analyst firms describe the hybrid cloud as the coordinated use of two ore more cloud environments. This mixes private cloud, public cloud, and traditional data center infrastructure.
For larger commercial and enterprise accounts, the hybrid cloud has become the most popular cloud option. Buyers may view one public cloud vendor, or one private cloud vendor, as inadequate for all their workloads. They may want to use VMware for their existing primary data center, while using Amazon Web Services for new application and archival storage. They may also have some long-running applications using legacy technologies that they need to maintain separately.
This is a good example of hybrid cloud, as opposed to a fully private cloud (build it all yourself) or a fully public cloud (all-in on AWS) approach.
